The EF30C LCR/Center-channel speaker employs dual 5¼-inch cone woofers to provide highly accurate reproduction of the audio signal. A high-performance, liquid-cooled 1-inch tweeter is used for high frequencies. To protect the tweeter against being over-driven, a poly switch is incorporated in the crossover network. Video shielded to cancel any stray magnetic fields which may cause interference, the EF30C also incorporates large 5-way binding posts to ensure a solid electrical connection. The EF30C cabinet is constructed of medium density fiberboard due to its inert properties, thereby preventing sound coloration. The thickness of the front baffles also prevents cabinet diffraction. The EF30C is equally adept for center channel use as well as for front and rear effects channels in a home theater system.
